Ghaziabad woman files FIR against Yash Dayal for sexual exploitation, mental harassment, and false promise of marriage.

Indian pacer and RCB bowling sensation Yash Dayal has recently landed in legal trouble after a woman from Ghaziabad filed a serious complaint against him. The complaint, filed via the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Grievance Portal, alleges sexual exploitation, physical and mental abuse, and cheating under the false promise of marriage. The FIR has been registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
According to the 27-year-old complainant, the relationship began in 2019 and continued for nearly five years. During this time, she claims that Dayal introduced her to his family and maintained regular physical and emotional contact while assuring her of marriage after the IPL. She further alleges that Dayal exploited her emotionally and sexually, only to cut off communication and block her later.
The woman presented evidence including WhatsApp messages, call records, and personal photos, claiming they indicate a long-term relationship. She also alleged that Dayal became involved with multiple other women during their time together and used his rising fame to manipulate and exploit her trust.
Police Response and Legal Proceedings
The complaint was initially submitted via the Women’s Helpline 1090, and later escalated to the Chief Minister’s portal. Following this, an FIR was lodged at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad. The police are currently in the process of conducting a medical examination of the complainant and collecting digital evidence. They have requested additional time to complete the primary investigation.
While no official response has yet come from Yash Dayal or his legal team, sources close to the matter suggest that Dayal has not yet been arrested, but he remains under investigation.

Career at Stake
This controversy comes at a critical time for Yash Dayal, who had become a household name during the IPL 2025 season, picking up crucial wickets and helping RCB with several match-winning performances. His growth as a cricketer had sparked discussions about his future role in India’s national side, but this allegation has now cast a shadow over his career.
If proven guilty, not only could Dayal face jail time, but his contractual obligations with the BCCI and IPL franchises could also be terminated. Public sentiment has already begun to shift, with social media divided between supporters urging caution until the investigation concludes, and critics calling for accountability.
A Larger Debate
This case also brings back to light a larger discussion around celebrity accountability and the alleged misuse of power by public figures. Legal experts argue that if the allegations are proven, it would set a strong precedent under the new legal framework of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which focuses heavily on consent and emotional manipulation.
Women’s rights activists have urged authorities to proceed with sensitivity and speed, given the mental and emotional toll such cases place on survivors.
What Lies Ahead
As the investigation unfolds, fans, legal analysts, and the cricketing world watch closely. With the Lord’s Test match approaching and RCB gearing up for their next season, all eyes remain on Yash Dayal and the official stance of his team and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Whether this controversy ends in conviction or clearance, it is sure to leave a lasting impact on the young cricketer’s image and career.
